It offers easy power for anything that rolls, slides, or glides.
Use it with your skateboard, mountainboard, skis, snowboard, SUP, windsurf or foilboard. Simple, quick and loads of fun! The design team has been learning new skills both on and off the water to bring you a wing worthy of the Ozone Pedigree.
Ozone concentrated on making the WASP easy to fly and handle.
The large size Leading Edge creates stability and reduces flex, it also helps develop power at low speeds to get you moving sooner. GoFoil 1. Slingshot Slingwing Inflatable Wing. Browse Similar Items. You can also use your foilwing on an SUP without a foil. We recently tested a number of these foilwings at West Wittering and it feels probably closer to windsurfing than kitesurfing in how they work. What is really good is that the wings are really light, the foilwing is attached to you using a leash on your wrist and the foil is pumped up with a regular kite pump. What you do find is when you use it on a normal SUP no foil its a lot harder to go upwind; by adding the hydrofoil you get much more upwind performance.
Hi, Which wing do you think is best for lbs riding a foil board. Thankyou Dean. Dean — thanks for the message — at 80kgs you would use a litre board to learn on and a front wing with a 4. We have the new Fanatic foil board coming here next week and we have both the slingwing and duotone wing here if you want to test it.

Thanks Siny, Was reading in other posts the wasp was a pain to deflate the centre strut? Select to expand quote kobo said. Agree with the Wasp issues plus the handles. But we all workout how to minimise the small issues.
My dissapointment is that such a top rating company over looks theses things when testing. But the answer for me - re deflation is when I have finished a session first thing deflate and place board on the strut.
Next get off your gear and talk to your mates, put board in bag and roll up your deflated ego and Wasp. Good news- no battens or other bits to remove. I started with a Naish, and then tried the Ozone and couldn't go back. Ozone so much more powerful and rigid. Any downsides to the Naish wing? Both are great wingdings IMO.
I don't know of any downsides of the Naish Wingsurfer. The Naish can handle more pressure. The Naish has the ability to carry your paddle. The Naish is more durable with lots of any-skuff protection.
The Naish has an isup type inflation point that locks the pump hose in rather than just the push in type. The Naish has the ability to lock out the centre strut and just deflate the main strut allowing you to roll it up around the centre strut. And the Naish comes with a pump. Select to expand quote willow75 said. Sub nds conditions. Coudn't take-off with the Naish while my mate was flying around me.
We both were very surprised by the gap between those wings in terms of power. So the Naish is probably more suitable for a nds wind range. At the moment the Wasp has a number of sizes while the other two come in only a 4.
Any comments about the pluses and minuses of these three wings would be much appreciated. Its not that hard to deflate and make sure you start at the middle trailing edge.
Its solid and well made and I'm looking forward to wing foiling as well as getting bigger wing on those light wind days. Just need some velcro straps or something similar. Here's a video of the Naish and Wasp out together in big winds. Select to expand quote RichJam said. New Naish looks absolutely killer. Great design and great sizes.
I have demoed both ie me 6m Naish v2 and Wasp. Will be interesting to see v2 Wasp. I'm really interested in any impressions of the new Naish Wing. I am an avid paddle boarder, but am brand new to "Wing Surfing" and in fact brand new to any wind sport. I'm thinking of the Naish for a couple of reasons. First of all, any "winging" I do will be on a small lake with a lot of boat traffic so I love the large windows.
And while learning at least, I thought being able to take a paddle with me and attach it to the Wing would also be a great option. My plan is to use whatever Wing I buy on my paddle board to start and once I get used to the Wing then try out foiling.
I noticed at least one review on here that was not very complimentary of the Naish, but I think that was on the first generation Naish Wing. So do you think the new Naish Wing would be a good Wing to learn on?2021 Naish S25 Wing-Surfer reviewed and compared to the 2020 Wing-Surfer
Any other thoughts or impressions would also be appreciated. Thank you. Select to expand quote Quickbeam said. It will work really well. The windows will be very beneficial. Simple, quick and a whole load of fun! We concentrated on making the WASP easy to fly and handle. The large size Leading Edge creates stability and reduces flex, it also helps develop power at low speeds to get you moving sooner.
The enlarged strut provides direct angle of attack control, as flex is minimal offering a solid and controlled feeling. We kept the aspect ratio low to have a wing that has grunt and to keep the tips from catching the water.
The wing tips have a layer of scuff protection for riding on snow or land, although it is best to keep the wing off the ground! Multiple Power Handles on the Leading Edge and Strut have been positioned to cover many options, providing maximum control and comfort while riding.
The streamline De-Power Handle at the front of the Leading Edge completely de-powers the wing for total control when carving downwind in swell or when carrying the wing. The simple nature of the wing makes it suitable for riding any board that has enough volume to support your weight on the water.
In strong wind conditions and with developed skills it is also possible to ride with smaller volume hydrofoil boards. On the land or snow minimal wind is required to harness the natural energy to enjoy a different feeling of propulsion.
It is one size fits all rider and wing and comes recommended from our design team for all WASP users. Connecting to the riders waist keeps the leash bungee further away during manoeuvres and is less fatiguing if constantly letting go of the WASP.
It offers free arm movement which can be helpful when prone paddling with the WASP at your downwind side on the water. We use the remarkably durable Teijin D2 canopy material in all our water kites and wings. Teijin D2 is the benchmark in quality with proven superiority in durability and dynamics. We use the incredibly strong and reliable Teijin Dacron in all our water kites and wings.
Dacron is used on parts requiring rigidity and stability — the Leading Edge, Struts, Wingtips, and all loaded areas with extra reinforcement for enhanced load distribution and durability. Sail canopy seams are stitched, folded, and then stitched again for a clean and strong connection of the panels. This construction method ensures clean profiles are maintained with the optimum canopy tension. The Strut is connected directly to the Leading Edge with internal and external reinforcements.
Double layer Teijin D2 Trailing Edge strip with an internal light weight Dyneema reinforcement — this reduces canopy wear and helps to maintain optimum Trailing Edge tension as designed.
The Dyneema line also reduces any potential stretch at the Trailing Edge. This is your forum! Wetstuff Cortez Bank Status Posts: First ding - that's what happens when you teach yourself on a beach with littered with random debris rather than grass. I have to find a standard plunking noise to tune to. Perhaps because of that, I had the general feel of this in about an hour. The wing moved around a lot. Hand position varied from next-to-last to the last loop. This should be pretty easy especially compared to string kites!
Perhaps one of you can tell me: underhanded or overhanded on the front diagonal? I seem more comfortable overhanded - which is my rear position. The cart rear wheel bearings were rubber tubing which acted like brakes under pressure, so I didn't get the glide I hoped for, but I got a sniff of the potential. Atlantis Mistress. Atlantis Venom. Underhand feels more comfortable but somehow doesn't give as much power or control as overhand. Foote 10'4X34", SIC Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. I think maybe that 'left-up'.
I guess I keep mentally referring to doing pull-ups. I have abandoned my 'luggage' handles. They seem fine in light air, but in the heavy breeze, contracted under tension. I thought about spreaders on the backside, but DW's comment about being able to slide your hand along the entire length of the diagonal was spot on You can change the base angle of incidence quite quickly and tune for power with the rear hand. I still have another idea about the handles to try.
First ding. I thought 'beach debris', but not where it is located. I suspect it snagged on a cart axle - my error for not anticipating. Ozone supplies a really decent kit of repair goodies. Basically, everything you need to do a field-fix on the cloth, bladder or connection between the strut and front tube, even the alcohol to prep the area and fancy bladder patch called TEAR-AID.
You will need to carry a flat-edged bit of plastic to level the adhesive. One tip they may have mentioned in the repair section of their website put a bit of paper or plastic into-and-under the hole between the underside of the fabric and the air bladder so the ding tape does not grab onto the bladder.
