We recently tested a number of these foilwings at West Wittering and it feels probably closer to windsurfing than kitesurfing in how they work. What is really good is that the wings are really light, the foilwing is attached to you using a leash on your wrist and the foil is pumped up with a regular kite pump. What you do find is when you use it on a normal SUP no foil its a lot harder to go upwind; by adding the hydrofoil you get much more upwind performance.

The wasp feels more rigid and bigger and more powerful, but that is comparing a 4 to a five. The naish flexes a bit more then fully poweredwhich is good ,like a soft leach sail it lays off and has a better top end. The 4 metre does me 90 percent of the time. Only light days I need a 5.

My dissapointment is that such a top rating company over looks theses things when testing. But the answer for me - re deflation is when I have finished a session first thing deflate and place board on the strut.

Next get off your gear and talk to your mates, put board in bag and roll up your deflated ego and Wasp. Good news- no battens or other bits to remove. I started with a Naish, and then tried the Ozone and couldn't go back. Ozone so much more powerful and rigid. Any downsides to the Naish wing? Both are great wingdings IMO.

I don't know of any downsides of the Naish Wingsurfer. The Naish can handle more pressure. The Naish has the ability to carry your paddle. The Naish is more durable with lots of any-skuff protection.

The Naish has an isup type inflation point that locks the pump hose in rather than just the push in type. The Naish has the ability to lock out the centre strut and just deflate the main strut allowing you to roll it up around the centre strut. And the Naish comes with a pump. We both were very surprised by the gap between those wings in terms of power. So the Naish is probably more suitable for a nds wind range. At the moment the Wasp has a number of sizes while the other two come in only a 4.

Its solid and well made and I'm looking forward to wing foiling as well as getting bigger wing on those light wind days. I have demoed both ie me 6m Naish v2 and Wasp. Will be interesting to see v2 Wasp. I'm really interested in any impressions of the new Naish Wing. I am an avid paddle boarder, but am brand new to "Wing Surfing" and in fact brand new to any wind sport. I'm thinking of the Naish for a couple of reasons. First of all, any "winging" I do will be on a small lake with a lot of boat traffic so I love the large windows.

And while learning at least, I thought being able to take a paddle with me and attach it to the Wing would also be a great option. My plan is to use whatever Wing I buy on my paddle board to start and once I get used to the Wing then try out foiling.

The wing tips have a layer of scuff protection for riding on snow or land, although it is best to keep the wing off the ground! Multiple Power Handles on the Leading Edge and Strut have been positioned to cover many options, providing maximum control and comfort while riding.

The streamline De-Power Handle at the front of the Leading Edge completely de-powers the wing for total control when carving downwind in swell or when carrying the wing. The simple nature of the wing makes it suitable for riding any board that has enough volume to support your weight on the water.
